Musician, producer, and music strategist, Thibaut Gerhardt has been at the heart of the music industry for nearly 20 years.
With a degree in sound engineering, he began his career in a recording studio before earning a master’s degree from a business school. His combined technical and strategic expertise soon led him to join Universal Music France.
During his 18 years with the company, he held key positions in promotion and marketing before taking on the role of marketing director for several labels. He then became the CEO of Decca Records France, overseeing prestigious labels such as Blue Note, Deutsche Grammophon, Decca Classics, ECM and Verve, before being appointed as head of Polydor France. Thibaut collaborates with many artists, both as a producer and in career support, on the French and international stages: Stromae, Thomas Dutronc, Gregory Porter, Melody Gardot, Jon Batiste, Lang Lang, Max Richter, Ólafur Arnalds, Agnès Obel, Kendji Girac, Bigflo and Oli, Zazie, Nolwenn Leroy, Michel Legrand, Cecilia Bartoli, Hélène Grimaud, Skáld, Cascadeur, Béesau, Lorde, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, James Blake, Texas, The Rolling Stones, Lionel Richie, Metallica, Jamiroquai, and many others.
